Join us as we honor the life of Asian American disability rights activist, Alice Wong. Wong dedicated her life to challenging systemic ableism through community organizing, storytelling, and fought for disability rights and justice. Copies of her memoir, Year of the Tiger (and other disability justice books), will be raffled during the event.
During this event, Critical Disability Studies will be recognizing two of the first graduates of the CDS minor.
Guest speaker: Ly Xīnzhèn M. Zhǎngsūn Brown, J.D., writer, public speaker, educator, trainer, consultant, advocate, community organizer, community builder, activist, scholar, and attorney. (we could probably use the main headshot from their website)
Masks will be required and provided.
