Given the critical need to produce more graduate degree holders in STEM and the paltry numbers of underrepresented minority (URM) students reaching completion, it is becoming increasingly important to understand factors that both cultivate and challenge URM degree completion.

This seminar will explore the role of mentoring in helping URM graduate students in the STEM disciplines to negotiate multiple identities.
