We are looking to fill our Executive Board positions for the 2023-24 Academic Year! Our e-board will direct and manage our activism efforts, continue to spearhead building a community around disability at UMBC, and will promote our club and our message through creative graphics and social media campaigns.
The nature of disability can often mean that the time, energy, motivation and creativity we have for this sort of community and work is variable. In proactive acknowledgement of that we seek to have a larger e-board than other clubs so that no one individual is singularly responsible for any project, and we all have the freedom to tap in and out as our lives permit.
The following positions are up for election (positions in boldface must be filled):
President (1)
Vice President (1)
Treasurer (1)
Secretary (1)
Public Relations Manager (1)
Social Media Manager (2)
Graphic Designer (2)
Event Coordinator (2)
You may nominate any UMBC undergraduate student for any position listed above, and self-nominations are encouraged! You may submit multiple nominations.
Nominated students who accept their nomination will be asked to write a short paragraph describing their interest in the role and what they would seek to accomplish next year, and those will be made available for the election.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the current President, Darcie Adams, either via Discord (Darcie (any)#0642) or via email (dadams4@umbc.edu); or to the current Secretary, Luna Violet Rowenna (Luna Violet
