New REX report : Unofficially Enrolled Students
Folder : Student Records and Enrollment > Student Enrollment > Details
This new report shows counts and specific students that make up the population of "unofficial enrolled" students. Based on federal reporting guidelines, not all enrolled students can be officially counted. Typically REX reports in the Census Data folder will only be counting official numbers, which may not match the numbers seen in reports outside of the Census Data reports. This report attempts to reconcile the discrepancies between official and unofficial enrollments by showing the counts of unofficial students broken down by the reason they are excluded from official reporting.
What are the rules governing official enrollment?
- A student can only be counted in one career, so a student with multiple careers will have at least one unofficial one. Priority is given to Grad degree seeking, UG degree seeking, Grad non-degree, UG non-degree
- For summer and winter terms, none of the following reasons apply and everyone enrolled is considered officially enrolled, unless they have multiple careers.
- Intercampus students are not officially counted and those are tracked via their academic plans.
- CNED students are unofficial
- Must be taking at least one course with a non-audit grading method
- Must be enrolled in real courses and not placeholders like Grad Asst courses with subject = GRAD
Please contact IRADS or the REX team if you have any questions about "official" in any REX report.
