Applications Now Open for the 2023-24 Cohort
Do you aspire to launch, expand, or hasten adoption of open educational resources (OER) on your campus? AAC&U’s yearlong Institute on Open Educational Resources is designed to help teams of faculty, staff, and administrators develop and implement OER plans. Campuses pursuing affordability, student success, or student learning goals are ideally suited for participation in this Institute. The deadline for applying is March 31, 2023.
This Institute will begin with a virtual kick-off event on July 24–25. Participating teams will then engage in activities to facilitate the development and implementation of an OER plan with guided support from national experts through monthly webinars and cross-institutional planning meetings, as well as a day-long event on December 4 to prepare for the spring semester.

New to OER? OER are educational materials, from single lessons to entire textbooks, that are free for faculty and students to use, customize, and share. Use of OER has shown to result in a reduction in performance gaps, lower failure and withdrawal rates, and to be financially advantageous for students and institutions.
This Institute supports teams at any stage of implementing OER on campus. Whether you are looking to launch an OER program, accelerate implementation, or expand your current program, this Institute provides the guidance and leadership needed for success.
