Once a year Blackboard hosts the BbWorld conference over several days for faculty, students, administrators, instructional technology specialists, training professionals, developers, and system administrators. In 2016, the conference is in Las Vegas, Nevada, from July 12-14.
This year, Blackboard again sponsors BbWorld Live, a free virtual event with in-depth sessions and single-day tracks focused on key issues in higher education, K-12, and corporate & government training. Between every session, Blackboard will host interactive Q&A with speakers, facilitate live-chats in the discussion forum, take polls, and give away a few prizes.
Sample sessions for the higher education track include:
- Rocket session: great teaching in a world of connected students
- Love a TED talk? Rocket sessions are 7-minute power chats. Topics include engaging students via text message; integrating video into courses; social presence in online learning; and more.
- Superheros collaborate! Teaching virtual teamwork
