Narratives of American Political Thought
Lisa Vetter, Associate Professor, Political Science; Dresher Center Residential Faculty Research Fellow (Spring 2024)
How do we tell the narratives of American political yhought today? This discussion will focus on the theoretical and interpretive challenges of telling these narratives in a way that reflects their true diversity, includes marginalized voices, and makes them broadly accessible to a wider audience. The project is based on Vetter’s current book in progress, American Political Thought: The Basics (Routledge) and research that expands on her previous book, The Political Thought of America's Founding Feminists (NYU Press).
