Research Writing Bootcamp June 24-July 5, 2024
In-person, hybrid, or online
The Dresher Center for the Humanities invites you to participate in a summer research writing bootcamp. This workshop will be available as an In-person, hybrid, or fully online experience.
This bootcamp is designed to help you make time for writing and reflection and to find a group of liked-minded writers who can help you keep the momentum going. Participants will gather in person or virtually with other CAHSS faculty and advanced graduate students who are eager to move forward this summer with their research-related writing (books, articles, dissertations, statements, grants, proposals, artist’s statements, etc.).
The opening session will be a hybrid workshop to discuss our roles as writers and share strategies for managing our work and creating a writing community. After that session, the bootcamp will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10 AM for 2 hours of cohort-based discussion of the writing process, shared reflection on your own writing, and just writing together. You are welcome to come into the Dresher Center conference room for those sessions or join via WebEx from home. Drop in or out as your schedule permits, but you must register in advance and check in at least twice. Friday July 5 will be an optional, online only meeting.
