ECHO AND ELEVATE exists to equip UMBC students with self-advocacy skills through interactive scenarios, engaging activities, and faith-based practices. We focus on developing confidence, assertiveness, effective communication, and resilience—empowering students to step into any space knowing their worth and their voice. By fostering a supportive community of strong-willed individuals, we help students build lifelong skills in decision-making, boundary-setting, and navigating challenges in careers, relationships, and beyond.
All events, groups, organizations, and centers are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.
