The
UMBC Department of Education Research Seminar series continues with a presentation by Dr. Jiyoon Lee of the UMBC Department of Education and Bridget Jordan of Baltimore Highlands Elementary School. They
will introduce the concept of Language
Assessment Literacy (LAL), focusing on its crucial role within the
educational community and illustrating this through a case study of
successful collaboration. The session offers insights into the practical
application of LAL enhancement strategies, demonstrating through an
example how collaborative efforts can lead to substantial advancements
in understanding and applying LAL across various educational
stakeholders including ESOL students, preservice and inservice teachers, and a teacher educator.
All members of the
department, partners/collaborators, and students/faculty from other departments and institutions are invited to attend. Lunch will be provided by the department. Please RSVP by completing this form by 2 April:
