7 Lessons from the Future of Content
Wednesday, November 16, 2016 · 12 - 1 PM
The past decade has seen seismic shifts in how we create and consume content. To discuss these shifts, on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM in the Performing Arts and Humanities Building, Room 216, David Dylan Thomas will be delivering a talk entitled, "7 Lessons from the Future of Content." This talk illuminates seven key aspects of those shifts and how they enable previously underserved voices to be heard. We will learn how emerging business models make it both more and less problematic for content creators to make a living. We will learn which stories can be told that could never be told before and how mass participation births new art forms.
This event is co-sponsored by the English Department and the Department of Media and Communication Studies.
