The English department is excited to announce that Professor Kathryn McKinley has been appointed Presidential Teaching Professor 2021-24.

Each year the President and Provost select two professors for distinction: one in teaching and one in research. Professor McKinley is delighted to share her interest in medieval studies with students but also finds it a reciprocal experience: discussions with students both in classroom and office have shaped her own research and understandings of medieval literature and culture.
