It's that wonderful time of year again! Spring is here! The birds are flying, the bees are buzzing, and class registration sign up is right around the corner.
So if you're planning on taking a science course, a math course, or ENGL 100 next semester, now would be the time to take your placement test!
You probably took your placement tests when you first came in as a freshman or a transfer student. However, if you never took a Math course in your first year at UMBC or you never took ENGL 100 in your first two years at UMBC, your score might be expired and you'll need to take the test again. (You can find this out when you attempt to register for the course.)
If you need to take a placement test, online placement testing will be available starting March 22, 2015 and we will have testing windows throughout the summer. If you need to sign up, email placement@umbc.edu with the subject "Placement Test Request" in the headline and we'll tell you everything you need to know!
