On Tuesday 7/02/2024 a significant portion of parking Lot 8 will be closed in order to remove a temporary trailer at the UMBC Police Station. The east and north sections of Lot 8 will be closed for the entire day in order to allow construction vehicles to navigate through the area. A smaller portion will remain open. Overflow parking will be available in Lot 22 (directly across Hilltop Circle from Lot 8) during this time. Signs will be posted to direct vehicles through the area and Facilities Management, Parking Services and UMBC Police staff will be onsite to help direct traffic. The accessible parking spaces on the PAHB side of Lot 8 will not be affected by this closure.
Accessibility is part of the design process, and we work in partnership with Accessibility and Disability Services which supports faculty, staff, students and visitors with disabilities. If you have a concern about accessibility or want to inquire about a disability-based accommodation, please do so through their website.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to Stephen Sunderlin (sunderlin@umbc.edu) at UMBC Design & Construction Services.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our campus!
