Hey everyone, per our club constitution we will be holding elections for all positions sometime in April (TBD). The terms will start May 1st, and will continue to next May 1st. The positions we have are President, Vice president, Treasurer, Secretary, event Coordinator, and Historian. We also have volunteer positions called event staff where you help brainstorm events and run them. If you would like to run for a position, then please prepare a short speech or slide show to be shown during elections. Elections will be held in the weightlifting discord in general Voice channel.

President: Communicates with the school, the RAC, and other management to schedule events, get permission for things, make sure all club documents are in order, etc.
Vice President: Works with president and other officers to plan events, works with the president to direct other officers to make sure events run smoothly.

Treasurer: Manages the organizations funds, works with other officers to plan fundraisers, and ensures the club follows financial rules and guidelines.
Secretary: Works with the president and vice president to plan events, send event reminders in myUMBC page and discord, and make sure all officers are up to speed on events.
Event Coordinator/communications officer: monitoring the club discord to ensure members are following the club rules and school policy. Coordinate and plan various events with the approval of the board, and manage the club Instagram account to advertise the club and events.
Historian: Takes pictures and videos at club events, works with event Coordinator/communications officer to post on the Instagram, and help spread awareness about the club and planned events.
Event staff (Non-board voluntary position): Works with the board to brainstorm events help run them.
