On June 11, 2024, the NASA Goddard Agency Honor Awards ceremony was held in the Building 8 auditorium. These awards are agency-wide. Congratulations to Robert Emberson (617/UMBC) and to Vanderlei Martins (613/UMBC) on their well-deserved recognition!
Robert Emberson received an Early Career Achievement Medal, one of the highest awards given to an early career scientist: "For exceptional scientific achievement and leadership in advancing critical research on landslide hazards, soil erosion and disaster response."
J. Vanderlei Martins received an Exceptional Public Service Medal, one of the highest awards given to a non-government employee: "For exceptional sustained effort, vision, and leadership in delivering the Hyper Angle Rainbow Polarimeter (HARP2) to NASA's PACE mission."
