Welcome to Human Rights Brigades Panama! We work to improve legal justice in the under resourced communities of Eastern Panama. We do this by facilitating legal clinics, supporting families to resolve their legal cases, and holding educational workshops to develop a sustainable legal support system in the region. The Global Brigades Human Rights Program in Panama evolved as a response to legal needs in the communities where Global Brigades conducts its holistic model. We currently focus on family-specific legal cases such as divorce, child support payments, civil unions and domestic violence. Global Brigades is entirely dependent on volunteers' contributions to bring these lawyers from Panama City, as there is little to no access to legal resources in Panama's rural eastern regions.
