On August 30, 2024, UMBC had the honor of hosting a delegation from Nippon Sport Science University (NSSU) from Japan as part of a dynamic exchange of ideas and best practices in emergency medical systems (EMS). The delegation, led by Dr. Keisuke Suzuki and accompanied by Mr. Kyohei Kodama and undergraduate paramedic students, engaged in productive discussions with UMBC’s Department of Emergency & Disaster Health Systems (EDHS) and the Center for Global Engagement (CGE).
