Graduate Writing Advisor

The GSA Writing Advisor assists graduate students with any writing project/assignment across all curricula. The writing advisor can help at any stage in the writing process. Currently, the writing advisor is available for appointments at the following times:

Mon: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM,

Tue: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Wed: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Walk in 10-12)

Fri: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Appointments are available as in-person (located in the office), asynchronous (attach your writing to the appointment to be edited and sent back), or synchronous (online with editing happening alongside an instant messaging feedback session). Book your appointment at https://gsa.umbc.edu/writing-advisor/. Be sure to send your writing sample, if available. An appointment is required.

The Writing Advisor's Office is located at the Commons, Room 308.
