Postdocs and graduate students are invited to find out more about the unique partnership that UMBC has with the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) where you can teach a class for one semester, under the guidance of a CCBC faculty mentor. Dr. Dallas Dolan, Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching, will discuss the opportunities, challenges, and rewards in teaching at a community college.
In Part II: Dr. Judith Pollack will continue with "Public Speaking in the Classroom." Graduate students and PostDocs, especially those applying for the Teaching Fellows program, will get the opportunity to prepare and teach a 5-min lesson and get constructive feedback.Graduate Students and Postdocs are welcome to attend, regardless of interest in the CCBC program. You do not have to be a TA to attend. All UMBC-CCBC Teaching Fellows program applicants for Spring 2014 are strongly encouraged to attend.

Students who are interested in being nominated for the UMBC/CCBC $2000 Teaching Fellows program should be participating in the Blackboard Community group for PROF-it.
