Are you looking for career path possibilities or searching for job opportunities?
On Wednesday, April 03, 2019, we will be hosting our annual "Career Paths for Graduate Students" dinner. This event places specific focus on jobs for graduate students receiving master's and doctoral degrees from all disciplines.
Employers will cover all disciplines. Please RSVP below to reserve your spot! Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about career possibilities and to network with employers of their interest. Food will be served. Please arrive at 4 pm to sit down and eat. The program will begin at 4:30 pm.

Roundtable discussions with employers who hire candidates with advanced degrees.

Business casual. It is also recommended that you bring your CV/Resume to the event.

During this "speed networking" event, students will share dinner with representatives from several organizations and learn about expectations for positions that require advanced degrees, application processes, and job opportunities. Many of the representatives are UMBC alumni or part of organizations that have UMBC alumni among their current employees.

4:00 PM - Registration: employers and students (visit buffet, settle in at tables)
4:30 - 4:40 PM - General welcome by Diane Crump-Fogle, Associate Director, UMBC Career Center
4:40 - 4:55 PM - Special Remarks: K. Jill Barr, J.D., Sr. Assistant Dean, The Graduate School at UMBC
4:55 - 5:00 PM - Overview of program format (speed networking) and employer introductions
5:00 - 5:45 PM - Table rotations - Moderator: Diane Crump-Fogle, Associate Director of Career Programming and Events, UMBC Career Services Center
5:00 PM - Networking begins (Rotation 1)
5:15 PM - Switch (Rotation 2)
5:30 PM - Switch (Rotation 3)
5:45 PM - Q & A and thanks to employers
5:45-6:00 PM - Informal networking
All of the organizations who are participating have job openings in a variety of fields, for graduate students in each of our three colleges, spanning Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, and all STEM fields.
