1st to 8th grade tutoring - Paid community service
Good afternoon,
Our partners from the Reach Together Tutoring Program (RTTP) at UMBC, are looking for Math Tutors for 1st through 8th grade students in Baltimore City and Baltimore County Public Schools during the school day.
If you are patient, eager to learn, and passionate about supporting local youth, you do not need advanced math expertise to make a difference. RTTP is seeking individuals with strong intentions and a willingness to help young learners grow.
Why Join the Reach Together Tutoring Program?
- No Advanced Math Background Required: You will be supporting elementary and middle school students who are typically two or more grade levels behind.
- All Materials & Training Provided: Curriculum, resources, initial training, and ongoing professional development are fully provided by the program.
- Flexible Hours: Weekly time commitments start at just 3 hours per week, with opportunities up to 15–20 hours per week depending on your schedule.
- Transportation Assistance: Transportation from the UMBC campus to school sites is often arranged for coaches.
- Paid On-Campus Employment: Earn $18 an hour.
