Dr. Amy Froide has been awarded the Fletcher Jones Foundation Fellowship with the Huntington Library.  Her topic is: The Charitable Corporation: A Cautionary Tale of Financial Fraud in Eighteenth-Century Britain.  She is currently working on a book on the Charitable Corporation--a largely forgotten experiment in microfinance and a neglected example of the financial fraud endemic to the heady years of the early English stock market--as well as a project on separated wives in early modern England.  For more information, see https://www.huntington.org/awarded-fellowships.
