Mailed W-2 Information
The IRS requires W-2s to be mailed out by January 31st. Employees have begun getting them in the mail. You may also access your W-2 via the Payroll Online Service Center (POSC).
Duplicate forms may be requested by contacting Central Payroll Bureau.
Electronic W-2 Information via POSC
Most employees can print their W-2s from the Payroll Online Service Center (POSC).
If you are a new user, you will need to sign up. You will need the UMBC Agency Code (360231) and your last paycheck/pay advice number (only pay stubs issued within the last 8 weeks can be used). This information can be obtained by the departmental payroll preparer via the final gross pay report or review paycheck in the PeopleSoft system.
Employees who have terminated more than 8 weeks prior, lived in more than one state during the year, will receive a corrected W2, or will be receiving a 1042S (Non-Resident Aliens for Tax Purposes) cannot use the online service and must call the Central Payroll Bureau directly.
