Reminder: Open Enrollment is Coming!
October 19th to November 13th at 5pm-sharp
Open Enrollment for State of Maryland health benefits will be online in SPS Workday from: Monday, October 19, 2026, through Friday, November 13, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
During this time, eligible employees can enroll, cancel, or make changes to their health benefits, with all changes becoming effective on January 1, 2027. Employees will receive alerts regarding Open Enrollment directly from the State of Maryland via the SPS Workday system.
We will share Open Enrollment resources on the HRSTM Open Enrollment website as they become available from the State of Maryland. Resources will include virtual and in-person information sessions with the State vendors, State Wellness information, as well as the 2027 Rates and State Benefits Guide.
Open Enrollment will continue to be online in the SPS Workday system. Before the start of Open Enrollment, employees need to login to their Workday account to ensure they have access, as their password may have expired. Instructions for logging into Workday and resetting your password can be found here.
Please save the date and join the HRSTM Benefits & Wellness team on Wednesday, October 28th at 12:00 pm for a live, virtual Open Enrollment Information Session to learn more about any changes and receive updates and reminders.
For employees who are adding new dependents to their health benefits during Open Enrollment, please review the required dependent documentation and start gathering your documentation now. Dependent documentation is required to be attached to the employee's Open Enrollment event by Friday, November 13, 2026, at 5:00 pm - NO EXTENSIONS!
To ensure timely receipt of vendor communication, we advise employees to confirm their home address is correct by logging into their My WorkView in PeopleSoft HR. Once you log into PeopleSoft HR, you will see the "My WorkView" tile on your homepage. Simply click the tile to open the portal to find your personal information.
