We will walk around, have lunch and then head for Mount Vernon Neighborhood at 1pm. We will be going back to campus around 4pm. Bus tickets are $1.60 one way. You need to bring EXACT CHANGE! Make sure you bring comfortable shoes, a bag, water and cash!
Farmer’s Market: If there is a place where you can get freshly prepared crepes, danishes, a Jamaican pocket, soup, kebab, fresh veggies, a health smoothie, ice cream, a turkey burger, wood fired pizzas, pies and quiches, noodles and dumplings and burritos, that’s Baltimore Farmer’s Market on Sunday morning!
Mount Vernon: Located just to the north of downtown Baltimore, is one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods. It’s home to some of the most beautiful architecture located in the East Coast of the US. Walking around the zone we can find the Washington Monument, the Methodist Cathedral, John Hopkins University, Peabody Conservatory, Enoch Pratt Free Library Central Branch, Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Baltimore School for the Arts, Walters Art Museum, etc. Mount Vernon is also well known for its multiple parks, cafés, bars, and ethnic restaurants all surrounded by a classic and at the same time alternative environment.
