THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED FOR OCT. 23 2019
We will be taking a small group of students to the Glen Burnie Motor Vehicle Administration for Maryland State IDs. State IDs are a safer way to verify identity without using your passport (you don't want to lose that!) and useful for granting you entry to 21 and over spaces, like concerts or bars.
MD State IDs are $24.
Eligible students must have the following by October 23rd:
- Proof of Age and Identity
- this can be your passport and other immigration documents
- Proof of Lawful Status
- this would be your passport, F-1 visa stamp, I-94 and most recent I-20).
- Proof of Social Security Number (SSN) or ineligibility for an SSN
- students that don’t have an SSN will need to get a letter of ineligibility from the Social Security Administration Office.
- Proof of Maryland Residency
- A utility bill showing your name and Maryland address
- Checking or Savings bank account statement
- Lease agreement with your apartment or house
- Credit Card bill or statement
- Mail sent from a government agency (this can include a letter from UMBC)
- A Maryland state tax return from the past year
Transportation to the MVA is free!
