Dear Faculty and Staff,
The Administration and Finance Division supports students, faculty, and staff through services that include buildings and grounds, finance, human resources, campus safety, and many general business services. We encourage you to participate in our 2019 survey, which should take about five minutes to complete. This anonymous survey will be available until October 25, 2019.
Your opinion matters! Based on your feedback from the 2017 survey, we have made many changes and additions, including:
- Dunkin Donuts, Halal Shack and Student Choice added to the Commons and Teaching Kitchen and new furnishings to True Grit’s.
- Lower cost options added to Bookstore product lines.
- Job Well Done Award Program implemented to recognize groups of employees that have completed a project or initiative to support UMBC’s mission and/or strategic goals.
- Seven SkillSoft Certificate Tracks (MS Office, Administrative Professional, Supervision, Leadership, Work/Life Balance, Diversity, Professional Foundations) created.
- Parking services enhanced to include new Virtual Permits, added commuter student parking spaces to PAHB Circle, and extended office hours.
- Police Department community outreach unit created resulting in increased foot patrols in high traffic areas and addition of comfort/service dog “Chip.”
- Formal Office of Emergency Preparedness created and over 300 faculty and staff trained in EP.
- myUMBC Personal Posts support easier access, understanding and payment of student bills.
- Rex-Finance reports updated to include all funds, including grants reports, and payroll data drilldowns.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide your input!
