Course Materials Initiative Orientation & Training
Faculty training for managing & using digital textbooks
Wednesday, August 24, 2016 · 12 - 1 PM
Faculty participating in the Course Materials Initiative are invited to attend an orientation and training session about the Vital Source Bookshelf platform prior to the FA2016 and SP2017 deployment of eTextbooks.
Benefits of CMI to faculty include:
- Ensure students have access to course materials on the first day of classes -- no more delays!
- Embed links to book chapters within weekly folders or instructional modules for deeper connections to course materials
- Highlight important content in the eTextbook and share notes each week or before major tests
Students enrolled in CMI courses automatically have access the digital textbook and any ancillary materials (such as Aleks, Aplia, MindTap, or WebAssign) directly via Blackboard.
Join us for this workshop and learn how to embed eTextbook links, highlight and take notes, share highlights or notes, view reports, and download the eTextbook to portable devices.
