VoiceThread is a collaborative, multimedia slideshow that holds images, documents, and videos and allows people to navigate slides and leave comments in several ways – text, voice, audio file, or webcam. Faculty can create and share a VoiceThread with students and colleagues for them to review in presentation mode or to record comments for increased engagement and feedback. Tim Phin, a lecturer in the Ancient Studies department, will share his experiences, and best practices for using VoiceThread in his courses. Participants will also learn how to participate in an extended VoiceThread pilot. Lunch will provided at this workshop, please email Holly Owens at holly3@umbc.edu and note any dietary restrictions.
