What is the Baltimore Hackathon?
The Baltimore Hackathon is a weekend event of social productivity (Think hacking things together, not maliciously hacking a computer). The goal is to bring the community together to work on technical and creative projects and recognize the best teams and projects with awards. The judges will be composed of representatives from the hackerspaces and makerspaces of Baltimore City.
Who can attend?
This event is open to the public and anyone can attend: students, tinkerers, professionals, and even those that are just curious! Tickets are not required to check the event out just for an hour or so, however leave the food, seats, and tables to the competitors.
What’s included with a ticket?
A$15 ticket includes an official Baltimore Hackathon T-shirt, the opportunity to present at the finale to compete for prizes, and ideally food for the weekend( at least 5 meals).
What are the prizes?
Prize amounts could increase depending on sponsorship, initial prizes are listed below:

$200 - Audience Favorite
How will the prizes be judged?
Competitors must create a presentation from a mandatory template that will be provided at the start of the competition. In the presentation, they must describe the motivation and methods for their project, outcomes so far, and their plans for future work. Selected judges will make the final award decisions based on project implementation and technical merit.
