Retriever Courage Update Meeting
Update & Discussion About the Retriever Courage Initiative
Thursday, October 31, 2019 · 7:30 - 9 PM
Hello LGBTQ+ Student Union Members, please read the following information regarding our October 31st General Body Meeting.
Retriever Courage is a campus-wide initiative to coordinate a proactive, caring, and inclusive response to incidents of sexual and gender-based harassment and violence. (More detailed information is available at their website here.) The Retriever Courage Implementation Team has been providing progress updates to the student body through town halls and listening sessions, however, they are aware that not every student can attend these. Additionally, in such a large setting, some students may not feel heard. For that reason, they have reached out to the LGBTQ+ Student Union for a smaller, more personal check-in.
On Thursday, October 31st, 2019, during our General Body Meeting, a member of the Retriever Courage Implementation Team will be joining us to provide a progress update. We encourage anyone who is interested to attend this meeting and spread the word.
For those concerned about anonymity or who cannot attend the meeting, please utilize this google form to submit questions. The form will be open from now until the end of the meeting on October 31st. A note card system will also be in place during the meeting. We will be taking detailed minutes as well.
If you have any questions, please reach out to our board members and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
