Virtual LSAMP BD Project - Due in March 2016
A large project with short assignments along the way
Saturday, December 12, 2015 · All Day
Virtual
This assignment (see attached) is part of the UMBC LSAMP BD protocol. It is typically given in the summer, however, this year, we are giving you the information in the Fall. The expectation is that you will complete it by the end of June 2016. During the year, you will have some small assignments that come out of this larger project. Save your documentation for those assignments, and you can use them for this project.
Note that the end date is set for March 12, 2016. That is the ideal end date. You have been given an automatic extension to June 30, 2016.
The photo features LSAMP BDs who have gone before you (Dr. Miguel Acosta - UMBC, Dr. Sophoria Westmoreland - UMCP) who now have PhDs, posing with Louis Stokes' nephew Eric Hammond, who is part of the congressional affairs office at NSF. This photo was taken while Miguel and Sophoria were still students. They gave presentations on their research at an LSAMP symposium on The Hill.
