Dr. Yaqing Jin

Dr. Yaqing Jin is an assistant professor in the University of Texas at Dallas. He received his PhD. and MS. degrees both in the department of Mechanical Science and Engineering, University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign in 2019 and 2015 respectively. He received his BS. in the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Civil Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong Univresity. Dr. Jin’s research focuses on experimental fluid mechanics with various fluid-structure feedback problems including wind energy, underwater robotics, sedimentary flows, flow sensing, among others. Dr. Jin has published 33 peer-reviewed journal articles including Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Physical review Fluids, Physical review E, among others. He received the outstanding self-financed students abroad award in 2019 and Yee fellowship in 2018.
