Winter 2027 Faculty-Led Study Abroad (FLSA) program
A journey into Indian knowledge systems
Hello everyone,
We are excited to share a unique opportunity for students to take 3 upper-level statistics credits while spending part of the program in Kerala, India!
Students who commit to the program will enroll in STAT 414 or STAT 499, taught in a hybrid format, and join a cohort of 12 students.
Key features of the program:

Earn 3 upper-level credits applicable toward degree electives across multiple majors.

Reside at the serene Chinmaya International Foundation campus (chinfo.org).

Interact with Indian Knowledge Systems researchers at Chinmaya University (cvv.ac.in) and explore statistical applications in their work.

Observe operations at an active Ayurvedic clinic next door and discuss statistical approaches to traditional medicine data.

Explore centuries-old temples, churches, and synagogues in the surrounding historic region.

Experience the winter festival season in Kerala and watch live Kathakali and Kalaripayattu performances.
