The University of Maryland Baltimore County Department of Music invites applications for the inaugural cohort of the UMBC Fellows Program for Faculty Diversity in the Arts. The Department of Music welcomes applicants with expertise in string or brass performance, jazz, orchestral conducting, choral music education, composition, or musicology (especially contemporary popular genres). Candidates with an interest in social justice or community engaged scholarship/ teaching are encouraged to apply.

Fellows receive a starting stipend of $50,000 per year, health benefits, and $5,500 for professional travel, preparation of creative or scholarly work, and technology needs. Fellows are also provided with office space and library and other privileges at the University.
