The Neurodiversity Club is founded by neurodivergent students, for other neurodivergent students and those who may have experiences around neurodiversity.
UMBC Neurodiversity Club has been established for the purpose of being a community-driven space for support and activism. Support, meaning to bring together students who are neurodivergent or have experiences with neurodiversity to build relationships. Our second aim, activism, is to give students the tools and advice they need to support themselves and others in an informed and successful manner. We hope to encourage students to be self-sufficient in a college setting and to practice self-advocacy with support from like minded individuals.
We welcome all, as long as they respect neurodivergent people, their stories, and their experiences.
