Commuter Connections is hiring for a Commuter Assistant!
The ideal Commuter Assistant is a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate commuter student in good academic standing who is outgoing, approachable, and comfortable engaging with peers. This role is well-suited for someone who is genuinely interested in student engagement, belonging, leadership, and community-building. Successful candidates are reliable, organized, and able to manage responsibilities independently while also collaborating effectively with others.
Strong communication skills are essential, as Commuter Assistants represent and amplify commuter student voices in a thoughtful and professional manner. This position is perfect for students who want to develop their leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on campus.
Time Commitment and Availability:
- 20 hours per week (minimum of 15 hours) with some early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends required
- Mandatory Tuesday availability:
- 7:30 AM – 11:00 AM
- 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Position Duration: August 17, 2026 – May 21, 2027
