As we work towards a return to normalcy, many have asked what will parking look like in the fall? The answer is parking will return to normal, pre-Covid. All faculty and staff will be required to have a valid permit to park on campus and will be required to park in their assigned zones.
All permits and payroll deductions were cancelled last year. As a result, all staff and faculty will be required to re-enroll and to purchase a new permit for the 2021-22 school year. Beginning on July 6, faculty and staff may go to the forms section of the Parking Services Websiteand complete the Permit Registration Form and return to parking@umbc.edu no later than August 13, 2021. The cost of permits will remain at $280 per year for D Permits and $380 per year for E Permits. For your security, we will no longer require you to write your social security number on the form.
Starting this year, annual permits will be valid for three years and will automatically renew. All annual permits must be purchased using payroll deduction (cost of parking will be deducted from September through May). We will no longer accept payment in advance. All faculty and staff must have a valid permit to park on campus beginning on August 31, the first day of the new school year.
