We are seeking an outgoing, visionary system engineer to own the Model-Based System Engineering strategy for the Hardware Systems Integration Team. This is a design role responsible for developing and driving adoption of system modeling methodologies, capabilities, and workflows. There will be significant opportunities for development process influence.
The Hardware System Integration Team is responsible for leading the functional and electrical development of a complex, mechatronic autonomous technology system. We maintain a model of the system components, functions, and interfaces, which enables us to measure and maintain correctness and completeness as we integrate and iterate a highly interdependent system. Additionally, the team serves as modeling liaisons to a broad range of teams in our organization.
Our ideal candidate is eager to maximize the use of state-of-the-art Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods, languages (SysML) and tools (Cameo Systems Modeler) to establish lightweight, high value solutions across our organization. We believe a model-based approach to functional and physical design will allow us to deliver results quickly and provide a platform to build additional value over time.
There will be significant emphasis on cross-functional outreach and leadership, achieved through working with engineering teams to arrive at solutions that work for both them and the product. Developing strong credibility and rapport with other technical and non-technical teams is also a must. You should be comfortable using presentations as means of communication and persuasion, and experienced in tailoring the narrative based on your audience and desired outcome.
