Expect multiple campus road closures this coming Sunday from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm for a 5K run. UMBC Police will maintain traffic control points to allow access to campus facilities. The following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event:
- The entire inner loop of Hilltop Circle. If you are parked on the inner loop of Hilltop Circle and expect to use your vehicle during the event times, please park on the outer loop for participant safety.
- Center Road from Hilltop Circle to Poplar Avenue
- Poplar Avenue from Center Road to Hilltop Circle
- Walker Avenue from Hilltop Circle to Lot 7
- The Welcome Circle adjacent to the Administration Garage
- Commons Drive and Park Road will be accessible for event participants and staff only
Additionally, several parking lots will be designated for use by event participants and staff. UMBC community members parked in the following lots do not need to move their vehicles for the event, but may experience delays during the event times:
- Commons Garage
- Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 along Park Road
- Lot 24 along Poplar Avenue
