Off-Campus Transit Bus Incident
Crime Alerts are issued by the UMBC Police to alert the campus community of incidents on or near Campus.
Incident: Destruction of Property
Location: Frederick Road & North Bend Road
Date/time: January 2nd, 2020 at approximately 4:45 p.m.
On January 2nd at approximately 4:45 p.m. a UMBC Transit Bus driver reported that he heard a loud noise from the back of the bus while driving on Frederick Road past North Bend. Further investigation revealed the bus was hit by three projectiles, one of which shattered a window on the driver’s side of the bus (projectiles were possibly discharged from a pellet or small caliber firearm). No one was injured.
