Scholarly Writing Workshop for Biomedical Postdocs
Intensive assistance in drafting a science publication
Tuesday, March 24, 2020 · 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Off Campus
This workshop for postdoctoral scholars in the biomedical sciences will be run by Dr. Isabel May, director of the Writing Center for the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB hosts the University System of Maryland's professional schools, including schools of dentistry, nursing and a medical school). This is a full day session, approximately 8:30am-3:30pm, limited to 15 scholars total. In the session, she will be guiding fellows through creating a manuscript from their own data. If a participant doesn't have enough data for a paper, Dr. May will be helping participants with a review article. Acceptance into this session includes follow up in the form of five web-based sessions to help you continue work on your article.
This workshop is part of the AGEP PROMISE Academy Alliance, a state-wide initiative to support postdoctoral scholars and diversify the tenure track faculty in the University System of Maryland. It is open to biomedical postdocs from UMBC and other USM institutions.
