Kuali IRB has been active for 6 months. We, in the ORPC, have assisted a number of investigators with questions about adding information to the component sections of Protocols. We’ve also provided guidance on how to upload documents as well as answered specific queries related to human subjects use research.
We recently had discussions with members of the IRB regarding how well Kuali is assisting investigators in capturing protocol data. The committee and our office feel it’s time to “take the pulse” of the campus community to gather perspectives about how well Kuali is working as well as how we in the ORPC can improve the system in managing protocols.
As such, the ORPC has scheduled two open virtual focus groups before finals and the end of the semester:
April 19, 2021 between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
April 28, 2021 between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
These are the first in a series of sessions over the next several months to actively obtain your comments and suggestions that will help us improve Kuali IRB.
Please look at the ORPC myUMBC events page to select a date that works for your schedule. We’d like this discussion to be organic and free flowing as possible. Take a look at the attached list of discussion bullet points that may help you to organize your questions or thoughts. We will appreciate all comments and suggestions as we move forward with Kuali for human subjects research protocols.
