What this means for you
Remember that paper forms and requests will soon be a thing of the past. Key time frame dates:
Starting October 18, 2020 at 8:01 am, the Kuali Protocols for IRB system will be available for IRB submissions and other related actions for legacy and new protocols. However, until that time, please continue to use protocol forms available of the ORPC Forms and Documents page. Our office will ensure that protocol submissions and updates are incorporated into a Kuali protocol record.
The last day to submit paper applications, modifications (amendments), deviation reports and closure reports is October 8, 2020 at 5:00 pm.
From October 8, 2020 5:01 pm until October 18, 2020 at 8:00 am, the ORPC will be closed. No paper IRB related submissions or actions will be accepted to allow for Kuali IRB data migration. Investigators are asked to review their planned start dates of new protocols or modifications to incorporate the office closure.
REMINDER! Investigators notified about a “Legacy Protocol Upload” must have had to reviewed and approved these legacy protocols The (corrected) deadline for completing this action is October 8, 2020 at 5:00 pm
Next Steps
For our currently approved IRB protocol users, we remind you to check your email for the “Legacy Protocol Upload” message asking that you review the uploaded current protocol and approve that version.
This Kuali protocol version will be used for submitting annual renewals pre-2018 Common Rule Revisions (if applicable) and for amendments and closures. If you haven’t approved these yet, please do ASAP.
