Reposted from CNMS Advising; original post here. If you want to get started in research, but you're not sure what to expect, the Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day (URCAD) is an excellent opportunity to learn from your peers!
------------
Never heard of URCAD? It stands for Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day. It's a day for sharing what we all do on campus! There are hundreds of research posters, oral presentations, dance performances, films, interactive games, and much more, all presented by YOU, undergraduates at UMBC! This event brings together students in both research and artistic fields from all disciplines to showcase the amazing projects you've all been working on. Bring your friends! Family! Mentors! Come and be inspired!
If you'd like to take a peek in advance, here's the schedule of events: https://urcad.umbc.edu/schedule/
The CNMS URCAD Scavenger Hunt will leave TLC (UC115) around 12:10 PM. Another group will leave at 12:20 PM, in case you miss us the first time. We'll be heading up to the ballroom (third floor of the UC) to check out research posters. It's a great way to see what research is taking place on campus, who is supporting it, and how YOU can get involved!
