As we approach the final weeks of the fall semester and final exams and projects are on the horizon, the habits that support our mental and physical health can sometimes fall by the wayside. The times when we most need these practices are also the times when it's the most difficult to find the time for them. Scheduling breaks helps give our brains and bodies a rest so that we can return to studying renewed and refreshed. Do what works for you: play games online with friends, go for a run, listen to music, whatever lifts you up and energizes you.
Stress and burnout are common experiences for health professionals. Making time for healthy practices now can help you maintain those habits later on, during the rigors of professional school and in your career.
