Learn About Running for PSS and CUSS [Virtual Info Session]
What do we do? Why do we matter? Come ask your questions!
Wednesday, April 7, 2021 · 3 - 4 PM
Interested in meeting folks from across campus and making a difference at UMBC for yourself and your colleagues? Consider running for a position in shared governance. As an exempt staff member, you are eligible to run for an elected seat on the Professional Staff Senate (PSS) and/or Council of University System Staff (CUSS).
Nominations for both PSS and CUSS run from April 5 to April 19, with elections taking place from April 21 to April 30. You can apply or nominate a colleague at https://forms.gle/MjBouARV3q8CPn2R8.
At this virtual info session, current members and leaders from both PSS and CUSS will give an introduction to the kinds of work we do, the time commitment involved, and what they've gained from their experiences in shared governance at UMBC. There will also be plenty of time for your questions.
