In our parallel, non-COVID universe, last Thursday was Take Back the Night, when many of us would have been involved with naming sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking and reclaiming safe space on our campus. Although we were not able to gather to support our fellow students and other UMBC community members, there is a way you can actively participate in Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Please go to our Green Dot myUMBC page and tell us about a Green Dot you have done or will do. A green dot is any behavior‚ choice‚ word‚ or attitude that promotes safety for all of us and communicates intolerance for any form of violence. The submissions will be curated and posted next week. No one has to do everything, but every one has to do something. What is your Green Dot?
