Re-Envisioning UMBC's General Education Program

Join us as the Re-Envisioning General Education Faculty Core Committee works with the UMBC community to develop recommendations, as charged by Provost van Dulmen, to revise UMBC’s general education program, the set of academic requirements that all undergraduate students must complete. Final recommendations, which will align with UMBC’s values, will be submitted to the Faculty Senate for discussion and recommendation to the Provost.

This multi-year project builds on the 2022 Report of the UMBC General Education Study Group and the findings of the students, faculty, and staff involved in UMBC’s 2025-26 Middle States Reaccreditation effort.
